We can see in both viedeos that African culture is a stronger culture that has fight against discrimination and injustice. In Alvin video it is talk using dance the history of the figth of African culture against slavery, while in Palenque video we can see the music like a natural and empirical state for this culture, in which one music is a universal language that  is brought in the blood.

Holidays

We can see in this four conuntries differents ways to celebrate holidays , each of them depend of traditions and their style of life. All these conuntries have in common the importance to share with people they love and to remember their origin. In my opinion English is used in this blog because it is a universisal lenguage and many people can learn in this lenaguage , it is not a secret for everyone that the influence of American culture around the world  is bigger than others.

In my experience music is like therapy for me and transform me a dreamer, I love to listen music that make me feel that I can reach whatever think a want , this make me belong to that kind of prople that fight and  persist to find the imposible, that is my culture, that is what I am.

In my opinion I would lend money to Martha from Soleda, I think that she has a solid business and the most important : she has regular costumers . I realize she has been growing little by little and she has diversity in her products . I also think that her product (household appliances, jewelry, and cosmetics) can be sell all the year without problem taking advantage of the vanity of the women from this region.

Matutas drivers



we can see how corrupt police could not do anything in front the cameras, that show that they were just trying to abuse of matutas drivers and their weakness  That is similar to the situation of "mototaxistas" here in Barranquilla, police use to demande them money abusing of their illegal activity to survive, this became in a problem of corruption, and makes some bad mototaxistas think that they can do what they like to do, for that reason, people in Barranquilla have a bad opinion of mototaxistas.

Racism against AfroColombianos

It is hard to accept the situation  of Afroamericans Colombia because they are so important in our traditions and they have the same rights , but the history and statistic show  a  terrible reality of inequalialite . Although Colombian´ s government creates politics in order to change this situation  , it is necessary to work a lot for equality and conscience. All Colombias must change our image of Afroamericans like mediocre people , and that have to begin for themselves. It is nice this forum about racism in order show the problem and do something about it. it is going to solve a social problem that seem not exist. .

LOVING BARRANQUILLA'S CARNIVAL

        

Hi , I want to tell you a little of my carnival expirience. Barranquilla was full of party and nice events in carnival and it made so difficult try to study, so I decided to take some time in order to enjoy my culture, I was in some parades as "la batalla de flores" y "la gran parada" there were wonderful dance group with beatiful dresses. I was as well in one party ,in which one were invited some foreigns who were very exited at the party, some of them were Brazlian and they said our carnival was coolest than their carnival, because common people can take part of it. I was so proud of my culture and I was happy on my free time.

      1. What do we learn about Tuareg culture from this video?  

     It is difficult for me talk about this video, because it is not easy to understand , but I can watch that in  this culture to drink tea is a way to purify their heart and soul.

      2. Keeping in mind what you learned from this interview, how does seeing the visuals within the video and knowing the meaning of the lyrics give us a deeper understanding of Tuareg culture?

`   I think that music and tea is the way in which one this culture try  to purify their heart and to forget  pain ,  fury and passion. Those things are  a way to talk about policy and found a changed.

1. Why was Barranquilla chosen? 

Barranquilla was chosen because they citizens show a positive behavior in Pro their culture, and they want to internationalize their culture.

2. Will Barranquilla receive any of the economic benefits Liverpool hoped to from being named a cultural capital?

I think that being named cultural capital make us a little more famous.  If more people around the world can know about our culture and our carnival, they will be interested in us and they will want to visit Barranquilla, so we can have more tourism .

1. What different points of view do we see in this story? 

In this story we can see how two different culture wacht each other. The white man thinks in the black man like a fastidious worker without know his needs, and the black man perhaps think the white man like a inconsidertae without undertand his cultur and education .

2. Explain the reasons behind the miscommunication that occurred between these two man.

They has miscomminication because "These two men are separated by class, by education, by language, and by culture. They are separated by virtually every category one could identify. They live different lives and run in different circles. They always will. They try to understand each other but fail miserably. They try talking to each other but nothing changes".
