We can see in both viedeos that African culture is a stronger culture that has fight against discrimination and injustice. In Alvin video it is talk using dance the history of the figth of African culture against slavery, while in Palenque video we can see the music like a natural and empirical state for this culture, in which one music is a universal language that is brought in the blood.
I agree with you when you say that Africans are a culture who has fight against injustice and discimination. Through the dance they are able to express their feelings. Besides, they have gotten more liberty because of that.
